Seven new demotracks of Scapes Wizard 2 - Seven presets played by the internal Lazy Sequencer.



ScapesWizard 2 is a machine for soundscapes with very different control concept by triggering different samples assigned to keys via keyboard, or, using Lazy Sequencer to play the sets in sequence, or at random with varying intervals of step lengths. This is a completely reworked and largely enhanced version to its predecessor offering more dedicated and flexible control in general.

There are two different soundengines: Slow Motion Scapes (Main Slot 1&2), OneShots and Loops (FX, Natural, etc.) (Main Slot 3 & 4), Each slot has got a dedicated soundmodifier (color with resonance) plus pan, & delay with two sets of Lazy knobsettings for most controls. Serenity - the heavenly choir & strings pad synthesizer

Serenity is a synthesizer aimed to create various choir and string pad sounds but it is not meant to emulate this or that vintage string and/or choir machine. Though you might get sounds resembling quite nice the flavours of the old machines.

Ultra Swamp

HGFortune's famous and by some deeply beloved swamp thing has risen to new dimensions!

Ultra Swamp is completely reworked version of Swamp so there are a quite a few differences to the prior versions and a hugely increased sonic potential! It's really for the good, the bad and the weird sounds thus ranging from sweet over dark to really strange stuff; transforming the wave samples beyond recognition.

This is a swamp where you throw something in but get something more useful out again ;-) and it's not just for pads and atmos but also for snappy percussive and sequencer sounds.

Although it does look not a very complex synthesizer - don't let yourself get fooled by this as the sonic results will proove different. This is a very versatile synthesizer but is fairly easy to edit. The patch programmers had so much fun with it they did 3 additional complete banks of incredible patches!

Altair 4 The SciFi Sounds Lab

As the subname of this synths says this SciFi Sounds Lab will be of best service for all doing soundtracks for movies or games in the genres of SciFi, Suspense, Horror, Fantasy and alike needing special, spacey, wobbly FX sounds. Ok, it can do some more than these e.g. bell like stuff and even it does fit even quite well in fairly conventional songs.

The movie Forbidden Planet from 1956 being the first movie with a complete electronic soundtrack using sounds that could have been done with this plug. This instrument does do a lot of the things the Barron's did with their circuitry albeit a lot easier. It makes sciFi sounds & noises and everybody will reminiscent to a old soundlaboratory of the 50/60ties. Anyway Altair 4 puts it to a modern level with some sophisticated controls.

Avatar ST

Avatar ST is a completely new synthesizer. Think of it as 2 x 2 Oscillator synth as it has got two independant sections but allowing different routings. At first the oscillators can be mixed via the X/Y pad also with a special mode called Rotation (Rotate = mod goes in a circle ;-) even with possible modulation so it's speeding up and down. Next each output of an osc pair can be mixed between direct and Step modulated signal. Both of these outputs cen be routed (send) to Mystify 1, Mystify 2, and the Grain Processor or Filter with the latter twao outputs can be routed then to Myst 1 or 2. You see there are very flexible options as of routings. Avatar ST is marking a new era in HGFortune synthline in many ways.

Even more only one patch of Avatar ST was used per track at all though with some realtime tweaking of course. The skilful play of Dimitri Schkoda unveils the very sonic potential of this synthesizer. This is partly cinematic to orchestral ambient sometimes with a dark touch and very well suited not only for relaxation but also for intense listening of his imaginary songs done with the 'Futuristic Orchestra' as he calls it. He has dedicated this masterpiece of music 'to all friends around the world who support the works of HG Fortune'.

Alphatron

Alphatron is not just a simple VA synthesizer instead in using a 3rd oscillator with digital waves it does offer a lot more variation. Thus it can do analogstyle sounds reminding of the old Moog and Prophet days but also merge this with the digital realm in various ways to achieve sounds beyond.

Another big highlight of Alphatron is the versatile step sequencer with 8 + 4 pattern slots which can be selected at realtime for instant pattern switching.
Plus Step Variation which is in fact aonther 16 step sequencer to set different number of steps to be played in succession. Two alternating semitone offsets can be set e.g. for each 2nd, 3rd or 4th loop.

Atonoise 2

Atonoise 2 is a widely reworked version of prior Atonoise and is basically built around the modified Mystify processors of the Avatar ST VSTi Synth. Thus it can mangle up sounds to a great extend beyond recognition. It can be used on virtually any kind of sounds like vocals, drumloops, tracks and is even suited for deep sample processing if very few til no LFO modulation is involved.
For a more easy access and to give you some ideas of the capabilities a small set of internal samples (including selectable vocals, drumloops & track excerpts) is used for the internal preset bank. So checking is easy.
Atonoise 2 has got eight selectable skins.

The Dreammachine 3

This is a new and completely rebuilt version of The Dreammachine featuring a largely increased functionality. Still it is a machine intended for slow motion providing complex evolving athmospheres and soundscapes via three synthlayers. The concept of the Dreammachine is based on very slow running wavesequencing and soundmodulations. For most convenience the wave names are not only displayed at each seq step but also selectable from popup menus showing the names. And of course the famous HGFortune Lazy buttons are also present at each section or part (Pro version only)
